What does yoga bring?

Energy, fun, relaxation and connection! All on offer at my friendly, soulful Hatha yoga classes, private lessons and events.

I teach The Sonia Sumar Method: Yoga For All Abilities, a method specialising in 1:1s and group classes for children and adults with additional and complex needs - such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and Down’s Syndrome - and can be transformative for anyone :)

Body Awareness

Body awareness in yoga automatically quiets the mind and highlights tension in the body. Stretching the spine in all directions - with breath awareness - you naturally let go of this tension, and harmonise the body’s systems.

Proper breathing

Yoga poses create more space for the lungs. This allows the breath to flow longer and fuller, and increases the lungs’ capacity over time. Breath is integral to our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Meditation Practice

Yoga poses done with presence are a meditation. As you breathe, move and sit better, you get better at observing mental chatter - gaining new perspectives on whatever comes up.

Healthy Daily Life

Lessons you learn on the mat - like patience, stress regulation and giving space to emotions - are all applied in daily life. Yoga shows slow, steady and strongly-rooted change, to happier, healthier habits.

My classes are suitable and designed for all levels and abilities, whether you’re a curious newbie or experienced practitioner everyone is welcome.

In-person group classes, Zoom classes and private home lessons are all available.

Yoga For All Abilities

I have been teaching The Sonia Sumar Method: Yoga For All Abilities since 2017. This incredible practice is both 1:1 and in groups, and is for anyone with additional and complex needs - empowering children and adults alike.

I have over 2,000 hours teaching experience, and my knowledge is all thanks to my incredible teachers Sonia Sumar and her daughter, Renata Sumar Gaertner.

  • I came to do some stretching and found the class was very relaxed, very accessible and joyful! The way we moved through the poses it felt very effortless, the hour was over just like that. There wasn't a moment where I was thinking, I can't do this, or I don't want to.
